With its monthly Grove Gallery Walks continuing to gain widespread popularity in our community, the Coconut Grove Business Improvement District (BID) and 11 of the Grove’s celebrated galleries have again partnered to present an event sure to capture the attention of art collectors and connoisseurs, and those with a taste for fine art.
On Monday, November 29, just days before the acclaimed Art Basel Miami Beach opens its doors, Coconut Grove’s galleries will unveil their newest exhibitions at the Art Starts in the Grove event.
“All of the galleries are working together to present an amazing full-day dedicated to art, highlighted, of course, by extraordinary exhibitions,” said Lilia Garcia, one of the organizers of the Grove Gallery Project. “Coconut Grove is enjoying an artistic revival with more and more noted galleries opening or relocating in the Grove.”
Art Basel Miami Beach takes place December 2 – 5. It is the most important indoor art fair in the United States and the Americas. Art Starts in the Grove will bring the appealing international art scene to Miami’s first art district by offering an exciting program of special exhibitions, events and parties.
“This event will be a perfect prelude to Art Basel Miami Beach,” said Garcia. “It’s a fertile and exciting time for the galleries and we appreciate the BID’s on-going support of our efforts.”
Art Starts in the Grove will be announcing a schedule of activities soon. Visit www.CoconutGrove.com for more details.
