The League of Prosecutors will host its 11th annual Justice Award Dinner on Saturday, Sept. 20, 7 p.m., at the Jungle Island Tree Top Ballroom.
This year’s Justice Award will be presented to The Honorable Darrin P. Gayles, United States District Judge. Assistant State Attorney Marie Mato also will be honored as Prosecutor of the Year. The annual Justice Award Dinner is the LOP’s most prestigious event.
In addition to its annual Justice Award Dinner, the LOP conducts the highly regarded Judicial Endorsement Forum during election years. The LOP also monitors issues affecting the legal profession and the judiciary, locally, statewide and nationally; participates in attorney mentoring and educational programs; and is involved in several leadership initiatives.
