Atlantic Broadband, the nation’s ninth largest cable operator, has announced significant HD channel additions are now available in Miami Beach and surrounding areas including Aventura, Bal Harbour, Bay Harbor Islands, Golden Beach, North Bay Village, Pinecrest, South Miami, Sunny Isles Beach, Surfside, plus Brickell, the Biscayne corridor and downtown Miami.
With this next phase of the $6.3 million “FastForward Miami” initiative, new and existing customers now have access to 38 new HD channels, including 16 new Spanish language channels and more HBO and Showtime premium channels. With these additions, more than 145 HD channels are available to Atlantic Broadband customers.
Following are just some of the new HD additions: BeIN Sports en Español,
Discovery en Español, Disney Jr., ESPN Deportes, Galavision, Globo, HBO Comedy and HBO Family, Showtime Extreme and Showtime Showcase, Telefe, TV Land, TV5 Monde, WJAN TEVEO.
“Today’s announcement marks another monumental phase of Atlantic Broadband’s ‘FastForward Miami’ initiative,” said Elizabeth Michelsen, Atlantic Broadband’s vice president and general manager. “Being able to provide customers with enhanced picture quality, sound and significantly more Spanish language and international channels, enables us to provide superior entertainment offerings and meet the needs of our culturally diverse residents.”
Once complete in August, “FastForward Miami” also will deliver the wide-scale availability of Gigabit Internet speeds.
