As the curtain rises on Miami Art Week and Art Basel 2023, prepare to be enchanted by the 18th Annual COIL-ture Freedom Festival, presented by Natural Trendsetters and The Black Archives Historic Overtown Theatre in partnership with My Royal Coils.

On Sunday, Dec. 10, from noon to 7 p.m., this grand celebration will unfold at the iconic Historic Lyric Theatre, nestled in the heart of historic Overtown Miami at 819 NW Second Ave. For 24 years, Natural Trendsetters has passionately championed global arts, culture, and community, and this year, the narrative continues stronger than ever.

The COIL-ture Freedom Festival isn’t just an event; it’s a family-inspired odyssey immersive journey where art, culture, and community collide to craft moments of transformation and inspiration. “Black Hair has always been a symbol of revolution,” shares Simone Hylton, co-founder of Natural Trendsetters and My Royal Coils healthy hair products. “With the recent passing of the Crown Act, more and more people are proudly embracing their natural hair. Our mission is to showcase how Black hair remains a canvas of creativity and artistry, leaving our attendees empowered and enlightened.”

With over 25 premier vendors at the helm, attendees will be immersed in a world of the finest natural hair and skincare products, unique jewelry, fashion that tells stories, handcrafted art that ignites the senses, and delectable treats from food trucks that tantalize the taste buds.
