Starting at $48,550, the 2022 BMW 240i xDrive Coupe is a steal.
It generates power from a 3.0-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder engine and has xDrive, intelligent all-wheel drive. The turbocharged engine can generate 382 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque.
In the city, it delivers 23 miles per gallon and a whopping 32 miles per gallon on the highway. In addition to great economy on gas, it still feels faster. In fact, the front wheel drive turbo model can get up to 60 miles per hour in a little more than 3.5 seconds and up to 100 miles per hour in a little over 9 seconds.
One of the things I love about BMW is the M engineering, which comes with a whole package of features. In this case, the standard M sport suspension and M differential improve handling and responsiveness.
It also comes standard with the aerodynamic kit and an integrated rear spoiler, which gives it a great look.
In the 2022 240i xDrive Coupe you get a choice of seven colors including great sounding names like thundernight metallic (which is purple) and Melbourne red metallic. I also like the portimao blue metallic, which is bright and a standout.
The M240i xDrive arrives with standard 19-inch wheels in your choice of designs. Standard M Sport Brakes enhance the vehicle’s stopping power.
For safety and security, you get driver’s and passenger’s front airbag supplemental restraint system with advanced technology. That includes dual-threshold, dual-stage deployment.
This I haven’t seen before: knee airbags for the driver and front passenger. There also are seat-mounted front side impact airbags, so you get lots of comfort and safety in the cabin that gives you confidence and brings peace of mind.
For my money, the 2022 BMW 240i xDrive Coupe is a beauty and it is fast.
