Moxy Hotels, the lifestyle hotel brand that breaks the rules when it comes to conventional hotel stays, is opening its second South Florida location, Moxy Miami Wynwood.

Reservations are currently being accepted for stays beginning on Sunday, June 23, and can be booked directly on the hotel’s website at www.marriothotels.com/miaon. For group reservations, call 786-885-2670. For individual reservations, call Marriott Reservations Department at 1-888-236-2427.

Located in the Wynwood Arts District, the Moxy is perfectly situated in the center of Miami’s most exciting neighborhood with arts, entertainment, dining, and shopping options all around the experiential brand. The new-build, eight-story hotel, located at 255 NW 25 St., is a 50/50 joint venture partnership between Baywood Hotels and Dolphin Capital Partners with architecture by Miami-based Kobi Karp Architecture and Interior Design Inc. and interior design from New York-based iCrave.

The hotel features 120 playfully designed rooms, a 24/7 fitness center, and a welcoming second-floor lobby featuring a full-service bar that doubles as the hotel’s check-in area and is the buzzing hub of the stylishly playful property.

With more than 100 properties in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific, the Moxy brand by Marriott International launched in 2014 with Moxy Milan. Offering compact smartly designed rooms, and inviting public spaces, the brand continues to grow worldwide, with a mandate for opening new hotels that feel at home in the neighborhoods they occupy – high energy, playful, and stylish locations.

Moxy inhabits each place as an active citizen and good neighbor via community involvement, design, programming, mixology, and overall vibe. Given that Wynwood is an epicenter for visual art, it’s only natural for Moxy Miami Wynwood to embrace the soul of the district. The hotel showcases eight murals specially commissioned for the property, created by street artists from around the world. Renowned names including well-known figures like Lady Pink and Vance DNA have contributed their artistry, embellishing both the interior and exterior walls of the building.

“The new Moxy Miami Wynwood, now the second Moxy Hotel in South Florida, serves as a gateway to the heart of Miami’s cultural energy. Sitting at the intersection of Wynwood’s dynamic art scene, culinary delights, and eclectic atmosphere, the hotel perfectly embodies the Play ethos of the brand,” said Matthew Boettcher, vice president and Global Brand leader, Distinctive Select Brands at Marriott International.

“Moxy Miami Wynwood is also a testament to Moxy’s effort to create spaces that resonate with the essence of their surroundings, and we can’t wait for Moxy guests from all over the world to experience this hotel,” Boettcher said.

“With the opening of Moxy Miami Wynwood, we’re unveiling a dynamic hub that mirrors the neighborhood’s eclectic charm,” expressed Chris Thompson, general manager, aka “Captain,” of Moxy Miami Wynwood. “In homage to the neighborhood we are so excited to be a part of, every detail of the hotel has been thoughtfully curated to engage guests and foster connections with the local community. From the captivating artwork adorning our walls to the welcoming ambiance of our lobby bar, we’re reflecting Wynwood’s many charms in our amenities and our overall vibe.”

Ranging from 211 to 592 square feet, the rooms at Moxy Miami Wynwood make great use of limited space without sacrificing style; with comfortable bedding in arrangements suitable for everyone from solo travelers to friend groups to families with signature features like Murphy desks, under-bed storage, and ample outlets for smartphones and other electronic devices found throughout the rooms.

Bathrooms extend the theme of spaces well designed, with signature Moxy hairdryers, modern lighting, and handheld steamers, and feature Gilchrist and Soames products.
Guestrooms come in five configurations that pay homage to Miami via names – King (Graffiti Grove), Double Queen (MIA Playground), Double Queen and Bunk (La Familia), Quad Twin (Let’s Bunk) and Mojito XL (King Suite).

Guests are greeted upon arrival at check-in at the second-floor lobby with a complimentary “Moxy Welcome Cocktail” – a Haku Vodka-infused drink combined with a locally inspired Yuzu and Lavender essence reflective of the neighborhood’s vibrant and colorful atmosphere; with the functionality of the check-in process transformed into a playful and fun social experience, the stay starts on the right note, breaking down the definition of a traditional lobby that continues with funky furniture that invites guests to linger, along with games like Jenga, shuffleboard and other interactive experiences.

Certain evenings will feature local deejays who will enhance the atmosphere with carefully selected tracks to captivate the Fun Hunters. Bar Moxy also offers breakfast and a Bevvies and Bites dinner menu featuring signature cocktails as well as bites including arepas, flats, and dips. There also is 24/7 availability of the Grab N Go menu for those on the run, or just interested in a Cup of Noodles at 2 a.m. or a Cup of Joe at 10 p.m.

The Moxy also boasts a 3,000-square-foot outdoor space off the second-floor lobby, suitable for meetings and events as well as a small meeting room of 430-square-foot, The Timeout Zone, that can accommodate up to 36 guests. The fitness center is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The hotel is pet-friendly and offers mobile check-in as well. Moxy is a proud participant in Marriott Bonvoy, the global travel program from Marriott International.
