Vizcaya’s Italian formal gardens, the premier examples of this tradition in the United States, are at the center of this year’s Vizcaya Ball.

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is celebrating the centennial of these lush green spaces, which were completed in 1922 under the direction of Colombian landscape architect Diego Suarez.

The 65th annual Vizcaya Ball raises funds for the continued preservation of Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, a National Historic Landmark, and takes place on Saturday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m.

Guests will arrive at the historic estate dressed in black tie attire inspired by the subtropical landscape. The evening begins with a cocktail reception in the Main House courtyard, followed by a seated dinner on the estate’s waterfront terrace catered by Thierry Isambert Catering and Design.

Guests will enjoy classical music performances from Katherine Honey and also String Along and Friends during the cocktail reception and dance the night away under the stars with Valerie Tyson Band. The evening includes additional captivating performances by New Century Dance and LADD Miami Circus Arts Center.

Closing the evening will be a spectacular laser show over the iconic Stone Barge from Laser Network Productions
