Entrepreneur, philanthropist and MLB All Star Alex Rodriguez (A-Rod) and A-Rod Corp. once again made the holidays brighter for Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade youth members. On Dec. 14 A-Rod presented age-appropriate gifts, provided by A-Rod Corp., to youth members, ages 5 to 17, of Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade’s Hank Kline Club.

During the event, area youth and their families enjoyed holiday activities including a petting zoo provided by Tinez Farms, face painting, bounce houses, visits with Santa, photo opportunities, food and more.

Miami-Dade County Commissioner Raquel Regalado and City of Miami Commissioner Manolo Reyes were in attendance. Santa even made a grand entrance landing in a helicopter on the club’s baseball field.

Before A-Rod became a baseball star, he learned to play the game at Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade’s Hank Kline Club. He thrived at the club, staying a member until the day he was drafted by the Seattle Mariners. He now is a television baseball analyst for Fox Sports and ESPN, and a longtime board member for Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade and also for Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

“We are incredibly humbled by the continuous support from A-Rod, A-Rod Corp. and its family of companies, for generously hosting this holiday event and donating gifts to our youth members,” said Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade president Alex Rodriguez-Roig.

“Our youth members will not only cherish their new toys but the memories of meeting A-Rod and enjoying the holiday party, for years to come.”

The event was sponsored by A-Rod Corp. and its family of companies, including Florida Physicians PSN, Metro Fund and Nelson Lopez.
