Albizu University recently announced the completion of its third International Training Program that welcomed 25 members of the Colombian National Police to the Miami Campus in Doral for a specialized Tactical Life Saver Training initiative.
This intensive program, developed and delivered by Albizu University’s expert faculty and clinical training team, emphasizes advanced tactical first aid, crisis response and lifesaving interventions in high-risk field settings. For participants, the training boosts their operational readiness and provides them with essential skills to safeguard both civilian and officer lives during emergencies.
“Albizu University is proud to expand international partnerships that enhance safety, preparedness and professional excellence,” said Dr. Raimundo Socorro, dean of Academic Affairs at Albizu University and director of the program. “Hosting the Colombian National Police demonstrates our ongoing dedication to global collaboration and providing impactful, evidence-based training opportunities.”
While law enforcement agencies around the country offer this training, the program at Albizu University is different in that the university programs are tailored to the needs and culture and utilize the same resources they use daily. That means they are training with their own equipment.
“Those agencies provide the training with the equipment and curriculum that their particular agency uses,” Dr. Socorro said. “They are unable to modify that to fit a client’s specific needs.”
This program builds on the success of Albizu University’s previous international training initiatives, further establishing the institution as a leader in applied psychology, behavioral science integration and specialized tactical training.
Albizu’s International Training Program sessions are held throughout the year at the Miami campus. During the 10-day program participants engage in hands-on simulations, scenario-based instruction and applied learning experiences guided by certified tactical and clinical professionals. All participants receive a certificate upon completion.
