Lourdes Boue, Wendy Elliot, Gail Gerntrup and Jose Linares have joined the Alzheimer’s Association Southeast Florida Chapter Board of Directors.
“We are so pleased to welcome Lourdes, Wendy, Gail and Jose to our Southeast Florida team,” said Tracey Wekar-Paige, executive director of the Alzheimer’s Association Southeast Florida Chapter. “With their years of leadership in healthcare and their deep-seated desire to improve conditions for those living with dementia, I know their contributions will be invaluable to our cause.”
Boue, who is the CEO of West Kendall Baptist Hospital, boasts more than three decades of experience as a healthcare executive in South Florida. Prior to her current role, she served as vice president of operations at West Kendall Baptist Hospital and was responsible for the hospital’s general operations, including the planning, implementation and ongoing evaluation of services offered there.
Boue’s other previous positions include vice president of Baptist Outpatient Services and corporate director of strategic planning and business development for Baptist Health South Florida.
Elliot, meanwhile, is the assistant vice president of the Marcus Neuroscience Institute at Boca Raton Regional Hospital and possesses more than two decades of experience in neuroscience and healthcare management, executive corporate development and startup businesses.
She previously served as the assistant vice president of the Neuroscience Institute at Advent Hospital’s Central Division and as the associate administrator for Banner Health with oversight of the neuroscience service line.
Gerntrup, the executive director of Hospice of Okeechobee and Chapters Health Hospice, brings more than 45 years of nursing experience to her new role. Her primary responsibilities include healthcare agency operations, clinical and financial, that provide quality healthcare services at nationally recognized levels.
Currently, her focus is on the development of Chapters Health System services in the Southeast, providing home health, palliative and hospice care with an emphasis on caregiver support.
Lastly, Linares serves as vice president of Leon Medical Centers’ Leon at Home division, where he oversees the day-to-day operations for home health services, durable medical equipment services, home infusion services, long-term care services, and clinical and social care management. Linares has worked in healthcare for 18 years and, prior to his current position, served as senior vice president of operations at Univita Health.
