Amerant Bank, formerly known as Mercantil Bank, and the largest community bank headquartered in Florida, opened its new banking center in the Edgewater neighborhood of Miami on Monday, Feb. 4. Located at 2590 Biscayne Blvd., the branch will be headed by branch manager Fernando Vasquez.
Dedicated to strengthening customer relationships by helping them achieve their financial goals, Vasquez brings 25 years of banking experience in the South Florida market and has been a banking center manager at Amerant Bank for eight years.
Spanning 3,000 square feet, including a second floor loft that will spotlight artwork from local artists throughout the space, the banking center continues the bank’s commitment to celebrating the arts in the community while providing a forward-thinking banking experience to its customers.
