With more than 500 pets ready and waiting to give you the priceless gift of unconditional love and a lifetime of companionship, Miami-Dade County Animal Services (Animal Services) has launched its “Pets are Priceless” adoption promotion in hopes of finding shelter pets a home for the holidays.
Animal Services is encouraging you to visit the shelter and find your priceless pet and waiving adoption fees for dogs ages 4-months and older and cats and kittens through Dec. 31 at the Animal Services’ Pet Adoption and Protection Center, 3599 NW 79 Ave. in Doral., as well as at all offsite pet adoption events. Adopters are responsible for the $30 dog licensing fee. The adoption fee for puppies is $85.
“For anyone who has been considering adopting a pet, the holidays are a perfect time to do so. For families spending time at home during the holidays, they will be able to bond with their new furry family member,” said Bronwyn Stanford, Animal Services director.
All pet adoptions include the first set of age-appropriate vaccines, microchip, deworming, and spay/neuter surgery. Adoption hours at the Pet Adoption and Protection Center are Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visit the Animal Services Department calendar for off-site adoption events and locations.
