Argentinian soccer star Carlos “Tucu” Joaquín Correa recently selected Missoni Baia as his second home.

Located in Miami’s popular Edgewater neighborhood, the luxury condominium is being designed in collaboration with Asymptote Architecture and Italian fashion house Missoni.

Correa, 24, currently is a midfielder for the Rome-based Serie A soccer club, SS Lazio, scoring five goals for the team since joining last year. Correa also competed in the Copa Italia 2018-19 tournament, where he played in four matches and scored two goals — helping carry the team to a championship win.

Missoni Baia represents the first of several residential real estate ventures from OKO Group, the international property development firm founded by real estate mogul and renowned developer Vladislav Doronin.

The 57-story, high-rise condominium will feature 249 luxury one- to five-bedroom residences ranging in size from 775 to 3,788 square feet and priced from the $500,000s. Currently under construction, Missoni Baia is expected to be completed in 2021.

“I have always been drawn to living in Miami, particularly for the city’s entrepreneurial spirit, lifestyle, cultural diversity and art scene,” Correa said. “Missoni Baia embodies all of that, from its décor and architecture to its fantastic amenities. It’s a one-of-a-kind project and, given the credibility of OKO group, I am very pleased with my decision.”

Correa was represented by Tango Consulting Group from Fortune International Realty, which was formed by Sergio Waissmann, Marco Francescoli and Kevin Waissmann.

Correa is not the first highly regarded athlete to choose Missoni Baia. Colombian soccer star Miguel Borja, who plays professionally for Brazilian club Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras, also recently purchased a condo in the building.

Missoni Baia residents will have access to a comprehensive array of sporting and leisure amenities that will integrate the comfort of a luxury resort with the ambience of a private residence, including an Olympic-size swimming pool, private cabanas for sunbathing, a children’s pool, whirlpool spa, elevated tennis courts, a spacious spa, and an infinity pool with views of Biscayne Bay. Additional amenities include a 1,700-square-foot gym with 180-degree bay views, a dedicated private yoga room, a separate Pilates room, and a pet spa.

Brought to life by Asymptote Architecture, Revuelta Architecture International, Paris Forino Interior Design and Enea Garden Design, the project’s design theme will reflect and showcase Missoni’s trademark bold patterns and bright colors throughout the public spaces in the building.
