Ariel Bentata elected board chair of Greater Miami Jewish Federation

The Greater Miami Jewish Federation elected Ariel Bentata as the chair of the board of directors during its 84th annual meeting, conducted on Thursday, June 2, at the Hilton Miami Downtown.

Bentata succeeds Isaac K. “Ike” Fisher who has served as board chair for the past two years. Annual meeting participants also elected Lily Serviansky as vice chair and General Campaign chair, as well as a full slate of officers and board of directors members for the 2022-23 fiscal year.

Bentata most recently served as Federation’s board vice chair and General Campaign chair. He has been a vital part of the organization for many years and received its prestigious Stanley C. Myers Presidents’ Leadership Award in 2011. He also has served as the Federation’s International Division leader and took on key leadership roles in its 2012 and 2018 Mega Missions to Israel.

Additionally, he has been a member of The Jewish Federations of North America’s National Young Leadership Cabinet, president of the Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center (MARJCC) in North Miami Beach, and chair of MARJCC’s successful $2.4 million capital campaign.

Bentata is the managing partner for investments and a founding partner of Accesso Partners LLC., a commercial real estate investment firm. He was previously legal and business affairs counsel for MTV Networks Latin America and of counsel to a Florida law firm. A native of Venezuela, he received a law degree from Universidad Catolica in Caracas and a master’s degree in law from New York University. Bentata and his wife, Daphna, have three children.

Serviansky, a native of Mexico, is a long-time board of directors member of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation who has served as its Major Gifts chair, chair of its Center for the Advancement of Jewish Education subsidiary, and vice chair of Federation’s Israel at 70 Mission to Israel.

She also served as chair and a board of trustees member of The Foundation of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and chaired its Create a Jewish Legacy program. A past president of Temple Beth Am, she is current chair of the Steering Committee overseeing construction on the temple’s campus. Serviansky studied economics at Anahuac University. She and her husband, David, have three children and four grandchildren.
