Miami artist Patricia Belfort has partnered with Enrichment Support Services to create a $50,000 marriage counseling fund to help struggling South Florida marriages. Their goal is to fund this project in 100 days through the sale of her art.

Each day, Belfort will create an art piece and make it available for sale. During those “100 Days of Love,” half of all sales from her website, PatriciaBelfort.Com, will go directly toward the $50,000 goal. Once funded, more than 120 couples will be able to receive three free counseling sessions. Enrichment Support Services will be the first counseling center in the world to create a “pay it forward” fund in this way. The 100 Days of Love will begin May 1 and end on Aug. 8. Original art pieces will be sold for $500 and prints for $100.

“ESS is committed to making our services accessible to the people who need them,” said Anse Daniel, owner and clinical director of ESS. “I am excited that this fund will allow us to help so many couples who cannot afford our services.”

When asked why she is starting this new project, Belfort said, “My mission as an artist is to help people express their love in a meaningful way. To have my art also be a way for couples to repair the love between them is the ultimate realization of my mission.”

The art will be inspired by love letters to her future husband. Each day, she will post pictures of the art and a blog post explaining the inspiration behind that day’s letter. She hopes that her vulnerability will help others to rethink love and the commitment of marriage.
