AutoNation, in partnership with the Orange Bowl Committee, Miami-Dade County and the City of Miami Gardens, recently celebrated the grand opening of the new Orange Bowl STEAM Center presented by AutoNation at Bunche Park West Recreation in Miami Gardens, Florida.
“Through our partnership with the Orange Bowl Committee, AutoNation is giving back to the community, ensuring that local educators and students have a true 21st-century learning environment,” said Marilité Vazquez-Gonzalez, Senior Director, Sponsorships and Co-op, AutoNation and member of the Orange Bowl 2026 Host Committee. “This state-of-the-art STEAM Center is a powerful example of what’s possible when public and private partners come together to invest in the future of the community.”
The Orange Bowl STEAM Center presented by AutoNation is a $600,000 investment featuring a dedicated workspace equipped with robotics, engineering kits, maker materials, and a high-tech multimedia room with green-screen capabilities, audio-visual tools, and editing stations.
These legacy gifts are possible because of the Orange Bowl Committee and its leadership of the 2026 Miami Host Committee, which will host the 2026 College Football Playoff National Championship on January 19, 2026, at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. For over 90 years, the Orange Bowl has served as a primary civic engine for South Florida, using premier sporting events to fund year-round community engagement, education, and youth sports programs.

“We’re proud to play a key role in the Host Committee’s Legacy Program and help bring the 2026 College Football Playoff National Championship to Miami. As one of South Florida’s largest employers, we know that hundreds of millions of dollars in economic impact and a national spotlight can yield tremendous opportunities for the region, and we’re excited to help our South Florida community maximize those benefits in the most impactful ways,” said Vazquez-Gonzalez.
