Beacon For Change receives computers and projectors for school in Freeport, Bahamas

Beacon For Change Inc., a charitable organization, announced a donation of 21 computers and 14 projectors from Carol Gardener, president of Tacolcy Economic Development Corp.

This donation of electronics will be delivered to The Beacon School in Freeport, Grand Bahama.

The Beacon School currently serves a student population of 104 students with a variety of special education needs. Included in the student body are children with Down Syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, communication disorders, low impact visual impairments, and attention deficit disorders.

Sonless Martin Jr., chair of Beacon For Change expressed his gratitude for Tacolcy Economic Development Corp’s donation.

“We’re so thankful for the donation, especially during these trying times,” Martin Jr. said. Martin Jr. believes the donation will assist the institution tremendously as they navigate virtual schooling.
