Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami (BBBSM), in partnership with Ecom Authority, brought joy, hope, and holiday cheer to hundreds of local families during BBBSM’s Annual Holiday Party on Saturday, December 14. Held at the BBBSM headquarters, the festive event included exciting toy giveaways, games, holiday music, a magic show, arts and crafts, and a special visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus for Bigs, Littles, and their families.
A highlight of the event was Ecom Authority’s generous donation of $100,000 in toys, electronics, and essential items, providing meaningful holiday support to families in Miami and the Florida Keys. The donation included sought-after items like Nintendo gaming consoles, GoPro cameras, educational toys, and personal care products – all delivered to brighten the season for BBBSM families.
“This partnership with Ecom Authority reflects the heart of what our annual holiday event is all about – bringing joy, hope, and support to the families we serve,” said Gale Nelson, President and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami. “Dan Cohen and his team have shown how generosity and innovation can work hand-in-hand to make a meaningful difference, creating unforgettable moments for our Littles, Bigs, and their families while highlighting the power of community coming together during this special season.”
The donation reflects Ecom Authority’s innovative approach to Corporate Social Responsibility, which transforms returned merchandise into opportunities for positive community impact.
“Our mission is to create meaningful connections – both in e-commerce and in our community. The spirit of giving is about making a real difference, and through our partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami, we are giving these toys and items a greater purpose: bringing joy and support to local families during the holiday season,” said Dan Cohen, Founder and CEO of Ecom Authority. “
The Annual Holiday Party brought together families, volunteers, board members, and community supporters for a day filled with joy, connection, and gratitude. Thanks to generous contributions from donors like Nikki Spoelstra, The Salvation Army, Burger King, Exxon Mobil Retirement Group, Super Kids, Kimpton EPIC Hotel, and Wendy’s, BBBSM was able to ensure that every attending family received toys, essential items, and a memorable holiday experience.
