BLUE Missions and The Underline join in Walk for World Water Day
One hundred people gathered in Miami to participate in a commemorative walk for World Water Day.

One hundred people — including adults, young people, and children — recently gathered in Miami to participate in a commemorative walk for World Water Day. The initiative, organized by BLUE Missions in collaboration with The Underline, aimed to raise awareness about the importance of access to clean water and the urgent need to protect this essential resource.

During the event, participants walked a symbolic route to represent the long distances that millions of people around the world must travel daily to obtain clean water. Along the course, educational exhibits illustrated the sneaky sources of major water use in our daily lives and walkers learned about how to lower their water footprint.

Daniel Rodríguez, CEO and founder of BLUE Missions, emphasized the urgency of addressing this issue, saying, “Water is a human right and a pillar of sustainable development. However, millions of people still lack access to clean water and safe sanitation. On World Water Day, the UN reminds us of the critical need to protect this resource, with a special focus on glaciers — natural reservoirs of freshwater that are disappearing at an alarming rate due to climate change.”

This event is part of BLUE Missions’ ongoing commitment to raising awareness and promoting solutions for communities that still lack access to clean water. Through sustainable projects and strategic partnerships, the organization continues to transform lives and work towards a future where there is water for all.
