Branches, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing life-changing opportunities to families and their children, will celebrate its annual Black Tie & Blue Jeans Gala and Auction on Saturday, Apr. 20, 6:30 p.m., at the J.W. Marriott Marquis Miami.
This year’s Gala will celebrate las culturas that make Miami the “Magic City,” and help Branches raise the funds needed to provide impactful programs to hardworking families in the local community. The Gala will feature live entertainment, a cocktail hour, online auction, dinner, and dancing. The online auction will go live on Apr. 10 and will close the evening of the event.
This year’s Gala is made possible thanks to philanthropic chairs Trish and Dan Bell, gala chairs Karla and Scott Richey, and emcee Kristin Sanchez of NBC 6. Trish and Dan Bell also have committed to a generous dollar-for-dollar matching grant for all gifts made to the evening’s appeal. In addition, Branches will be honoring Heide and Jose Dans with the 2024 Trish and Dan Bell Community Empowerment Award celebrating their incredible contributions to the Miami community. Some 500-plus local philanthropists and corporate partners are expected to attend the Gala and help raise funds for Branches’ programs which provide life-changing opportunities for families to help them break the cycle of intergenerational poverty, through after-school enrichment and post-secondary support for children and youth, as well as a wide array of financial wellness services for families.
