Shake-A-Leg Miami proudly announces the newest addition to its fleet: the Carleton & Ruth  Mitchell Legacy Boat, a 68-foot houseboat transformed into a floating masterpiece. This one-of-a-kind  vessel, adorned with the vibrant and iconic art of world-renowned artist Romero Britto, is more than just  a boat—it’s a beacon of unity, inclusion, and the healing power of the sea.

Generously donated by Ruth Mitchell in honor of her late husband, the acclaimed author, photographer,  and sailor Carleton Mitchell, the vessel celebrates a legacy of adventure and environmental stewardship.  Romero Britto’s bold artwork, skillfully wrapped by Binick Imaging, brings the boat to life, making it an eye catching symbol of accessibility and community engagement.

“This vessel is not just an art piece; it’s a commitment to making our ocean accessible for everyone,” said  Cristian Bedoya, Chairman of Shake-A-Leg Miami. “We chose Give Miami Day to introduce this project  because every day, we work to ‘Give Miami’ access to Biscayne Bay. This vessel represents opportunities  for youth and adults with disabilities and their families to improve their health and quality of life.”
