[dropcap]B[/dropcap]uchwald Jewelers enjoys an international reputation as purveyors of fine quality jewelry and watches at competitive and affordable prices. Located in Miami’s

Seybold Building for more than 60 years, the business has been family-owned and operated since its founding in 1932 by Joseph Buchwald. Before settling in downtown Miami, previous store venues included Antwerp, Atlantic City, New York City and Miami Beach.

Marc Buchwald and his brother Jeff began managing the business about 10 years ago, taking over from their uncle Bobby Buchwald. Marc has always been passionate about the business and decided to make it his career after graduating from the University of Florida.

“Our business serves thousands, both new and repeat customers,” said Buchwald. “News about our reputation, quality and pricing spreads by referrals from satisfied customers who come from here, South America and Europe.”

Diamonds are a large part of Buchwald’s business. As experts in diamonds and members of the Gemological Institute of America, the team can assist you in purchasing diamonds to celebrate an important milestone in life. They can advise you about the “five Cs” of diamonds (certification, carat, clarity, color and cut) and show you many options in any price range among thousands of diamonds.

Buchwald Jewelers also sells the finest in classic and modern timepieces, offering Rolex, Ebel, Breitling, Tag Heuer, Baume & Mercier, Audemars Piguet, Hublot, Gerard Perregaux and Techno Marine, among others.

When the Buchwald family members situated their business in the Seybold Building in the 1960s, they initiated a trend followed by other jewelers. The location was developed as a jewelry community in the 1970s. Eventually, it became the largest jewelers’ building in the state and the second- largest building dedicated to the jewelry business in the United States. Built by Miami pioneer John W.G. Seybold (1872-1940) in the early decades of the 1900s, the building included his Seybold Baking Company on the first floor. Seybold also built the Seybold Canal and was the developer of Miami’s Spring Garden district.
