It’s that time of the year again and the Fourth of July is just around the corner. An all day celebration is taking place all over Coconut Grove and the festivities begin at CocoWalk.
This year’s event will be conjoined with the monthly Family Fun Day, which will make it bigger than ever.
CocoWalk will be filled with fun for the entire family including live entertainment, a bounce house, face painter, free cotton candy and snow cones, an appearance by Lady Liberty, a balloon twister, and much more. Also, Miami-Dade County Animal Services will have loving animals on property looking for a devoted home.
Don’t forget about the sixth annual Hot Dog Eating Competition, a crowd favorite which will take place in the CocoWalk courtyard at 5 p.m. It is sponsored by Paragon Grove 13 and Duffy’s Sports Grill.
End the day with a boom at 9 p.m. in Peacock Park for Coconut Grove’s astounding firework show.
CocoWalk is looking for five competitors willing to eat as many hot dogs as they can in 10 minutes, but only one can take home the desired title “Hot Dog Eating Champion” and collect the grand prize package.
An assortment of awesome prizes for all of the game winners and runners-up are provided by the CocoWalk merchants and local businesses.
