Celebrate Independence Day and the historic heritage of the Grove with Mesmerizing Drone Show, Lively Concert, and Plastic-Free Picnic Contest

Residents and friends of Coconut Grove are invited to step back in time while also keeping an eye on the future of our planet by experiencing a plastic-free picnic contest, a high-tech drone show, and a spectacular concert led by Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO) – all this on the Fourth of July at Peacock Park.

Embracing the historic heritage of Coconut Grove, the Business Improvement District’s special 4th of July Celebration is inspired by the legacy of the American yacht designer and early resident of Coconut Grove, Commodore Ralph M. Munroe.

On July 4th at 7 p.m., the picturesque Peacock Park, located at 2820 McFarlane Rd, Miami, will come alive with the vibrant energy of the celebration. The event offers free entry to all attendees, ensuring that everyone can partake in the festivities.

The event also aims to promote eco-friendly practices and raise awareness about plastic waste within the community. Guests are encouraged to participate in the Plastic-Free Picnic Contest by bringing reusable containers, utensils, and water bottles. Prizes will be given to the best eco-friendly picnic setup showcasing creativity and sustainable practices.

The highlight of the evening will be an enchanting performance by the Miami Symphony Orchestra, captivating the audience with their awe-inspiring melodies. As the orchestra fills the air with patriotic tunes and classic favorites, attendees will enjoy a truly remarkable musical experience under the open sky.

To add to the experience, the event will feature a mesmerizing Drone Show, illuminating the night sky with a dazzling display of lights and formations.

Commodore Munroe’s 4th of July Celebration Concert & Plastic Free Picnic is not only a joyful gathering but also an opportunity for the community to come together and make a positive impact on the environment. By promoting sustainable practices and raising awareness about plastic waste, we can create a greener, cleaner, and more vibrant future for Miami.

Join us on July 4th at Peacock Park for an unforgettable evening of music and togetherness. Let us celebrate our nation’s independence in a way that honors our environment and leaves a lasting legacy for generations to come. This event is sponsored by the City of Miami and Commissioner Sabina Covo.
