The community recently came together to celebrate a historic achievement! On Sunday, June 1, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., a parade was held in honor of the Miami Springs Senior High School baseball team, who captured the Florida Class 3A State Championship title.
The celebration began at the Miami Springs Community Center and concluded at the iconic Miami Springs Circle, proudly showcasing the team’s hard work, dedication, and victory. Residents, families, and supporters from across the River Cities gathered to honor the team’s outstanding accomplishment.
The parade was proudly hosted by:
- Miami-Dade County School Board Member Danny Espino
- Florida State Representative Alex Rizo
- Commissioner Natalie Orbis
- Florida State Senator Bryan Avila
- City of Miami Springs Mayor Walter Fajet
With strong support from the City of Miami Springs, the Town of Medley, and the Village of Virginia Gardens, the event reflected the pride and unity of the entire River Cities community.
“Winning a state championship is no small feat,” said School Board Member Danny Espino. “This parade was our way of showing these young athletes that their community stands behind them and recognizes the dedication it took to bring home this title.”
