Coral Gables Hospital has recognized Candice Diel, RN, as its latest DAISY Award winner.
As a respected nurse in the telemetry unit, Diel is recognized for making all her patients feel like they are the only one in her care. Diel radiates a bright and positive attitude, and as a preceptor, she welcomes new staff and makes them feel comfortable in their new role.
Whether it is taking on an extra patient or participating in hospital-wide initiatives, Diel always is willing to lend a helping hand. She exemplifies what nursing is by the excellent care she gives, her ability to multi-task, and the way she makes everyone around her feel.
The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses is a special program that recognizes the outstanding deeds nurses perform every day. It was created by the DAISY Foundation, which was founded in memory of J. Patrick Barnes by his parents after they experienced firsthand the compassion and care of their son’s nurses.
