The Cuban American Bar Association (CABA) recently announced the recipients of its 2025 awards, presented on Wednesday, December 3 during its holiday party at The Courtyard, located at 2525 Ponce de Leon Blvd. in Coral Gables. During the event, Commissioner Rafael “Ralph” Rosado also presented CABA Pro Bono Legal Services with a check for $5,000.
2025 Legend Awards:
Honorable Mario P. Goderich “PAVER” Award, given in recognition of professionalism, achievement, values, excellence, and respect, was awarded to Judge Jose M. Rodriguez.
Osvaldo N. Soto Legacy Award, given in recognition of vision, tenacity, and achievements in overcoming and helping others to overcome adversity, was given to Jorge Luis Lopez, Jorge Luis Lopez Law Firm.
Amigo Award, recognizing individuals who have aided in promoting the ideals and goals of CABA’s mission, was given to Commissioner Roberto J. Gonzalez, Miami-Dade County.
2025 CABA Presidential Award, recognizing community leaders who support CABA’s initiatives, was given to Karen Cespedes, Director of Complex Litigation & Strategic Partnerships for Esquire Deposition Solutions, LLC.
Daniela Tenjido-Eljaiek, an associate at Rivero Mestre, received the Member of the Year Award.
City National Bank Private sponsored this year’s annual elections.
About the Cuban American Bar Association (CABA)
Founded in 1974, CABA is one of the largest bar associations in the state of Florida. Its membership is comprised of lawyers, law students, and paralegals from various backgrounds whose interests include not only those affecting the Cuban community, but human and legal rights issues impacting minority communities. CABA also founded CABA Pro Bono Legal Services and the CABA Foundation, both created on the association’s fundamental values to aid those in need through legal advocacy as well as offering scholarships to law students.
