‘DASH-EXPO’ Gallery Event Will Support Design and Architecture High School in its 31st Year

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Young designers and artists will take over the historic Buick Building in Miami’s Design District on November 3rd and invite the community to enjoy their thought-provoking and inspiring art at DASH-EXPO. The showcase, curated by Fine Arts Department head Johan Evers, will include student work from all students and grade levels, as well as the 2022 Young Designers Scholarship Fund Exhibition.

Live music by the New World School of the Arts Jazz Ensemble will provide a creative vibe and food trucks will satisfy any hungry families coming through the Design District. Proceeds from the show will support the Fine Arts Department and the DASH PTSA.

The historic 1926 Buick Building, today home to commercial developer DACRA Realty, is at 3841 NE 2nd Ave, Miami 33137. It once housed Modernage, a popular South Florida furniture shop, and was originally of course a Buick automobile showroom. DACRA, a long-time supporter of DASH, generously supported DASH-EXPO by providing the Buick Building at no cost.

Tickets can be purchased at the event or in advance on the DASH PTSA website (http://dashptsa.com). Current DASH students with ID are $10, All others $20 per person.  Contact the school at (305) 573-7135 for more info.
