Jewish Community Services (JCS) of South Florida recently announced that David Feigenbaum has joined the organization as vice president of development.

Feigenbaum has many years of fundraising experience, primarily at Jewish federations. In addition to his previous positions as campaign director in Baltimore and Palm Beach, he was the associate campaign director at the Greater Miami Jewish Federation for the past six years.

Feigenbaum also has worked for the Jewish Federations of North America (formerly the UJA) in its regional offices in Dallas and Deerfield Beach.

An alumnus of the University of Maryland, he has a master’s degree in social work with a concentration in community administration.

Fred Stock, CEO and president, welcomed Feigenbaum to JCS by saying, “We are excited to have someone of David’s caliber and experience to create and put into action a successful development plan for JCS. Our entire board and staff look forward to working with David in raising the funds we need to make a difference in people’s lives.”

JCS, the largest Jewish social service agency in South Florida, provides critical help in the community, such as delivering meals and emergency funds to frail seniors so they can stay in their own homes; counseling families in crisis, and teaching basic job skills to developmentally disabled adults.

Each year, more than 35,000 people — regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background — benefit from their trained, caring professionals. Although each individual’s circumstance is different, JCS is a lifeline for all.
