The Miami Downtown Development Authority (Miami DDA) is set to bring holiday magic back to the heart of the city as Flagler Street lights up for the Third Annual Downtown Miami Holiday Lighting on Friday, Nov. 14 from 6 to 10 p.m.
The highly anticipated celebration will illuminate downtown with a 24-foot Christmas tree and holiday display sparkling with thousands of lights and a colorful, Miami-inspired design. Following a welcome by District 4 Commissioner and Miami DDA Chairman Ralph “Rafael” Rosado, District 2 Commissioner Damian Pardo, and Miami DDA CEO and Executive Director Christina Crespi, guests will enjoy a free live performance by the Miami Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Eduardo Marturet, alongside students from the New World School of the Arts. Comfortable seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for attendees.
Adding to the festive spirit, the evening will feature a holiday market with local vendors offering seasonal goods and gifts, a perfect opportunity to get a head start on holiday shopping while supporting downtown businesses. Attendees can also enjoy sampling from local restaurants and shops, showcasing the flavors and flair of Downtown Miami.
Families will find plenty to enjoy in the kids’ activity zone, featuring a bounce house, face painting, popcorn, cotton candy, and a special visit from Santa Claus himself. Attendees are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy for a toy drive benefiting Chapman Partnership, helping children in the community share in the joy of the holidays.
The event is free and open to the public, offering a family-friendly night of music, lights, and holiday cheer in Downtown Miami’s historic core.
The festivities continue throughout the season with the Holiday Village on Flagler, a series of Sunday pop-ups on December 7, 14, and 21, from 2 – 6 p.m. featuring photo ops with holiday characters, crafts, sweet treats, and live entertainment. On Dec. 14, downtown will celebrate the start of Hanukah with a Menorah Lighting and special programming. The season culminates with the third annual 1One New Year’s Day Celebration on Flagler Street on Jan. 1, the perfect way to kick-off 2026.
