The Miami office of Duane Morris LLP recently donated $10,000 to Chapman Partnership’s Feed a Family for the Holidays Campaign. The donation provided 100 families in Miami-Dade County with three hot meals a day during the holiday season.
A check presentation took place on Tuesday, Dec. 19, at the Duane Morris Miami office in Downtown Miami.
Champman Partnership is the private sector partner of the Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust and provides programs and services to empower residents to overcome homelessness and achieve and maintain long-term self-sufficiency.
“The holidays are about giving back, and we want to do our part to help those in need this holiday season,” said Jay Steinman, a partner in Duane Morris Miami office and long-time member of Champman Partnership’s Board of Trustees. “By providing nutritious meals, we hope we can bring some joy to families and provide a sense of community and belonging.”
Chapman Partnership prepares and serves three meals a day to 800 clients at its Downtown Miami Center and 300 at the Homestead Center, totaling more than 800,000 meals annually and more than $1 million in operating expenses. Donations of $100 enable Chapman to feed a family of four three hot meals a day.
“Chapman Partnership is incredibly grateful for the generous $10,000 donation from Duane Morris to support our Feed A Family for the Holidays campaign,” said Scott Hansel, president and CEO of Chapman Partnership. “This contribution will enable us to provide nutritious food to families in need, spreading joy and nourishment during this special time of the year.”
The Duane Morris Miami office provides a wide range of legal services to clients with local, regional and international interests, and assists clients with complex legal and business challenges in today’s dynamic and competitive markets. The Miami office regularly gives back to the community supporting essential organizations such as United Way Miami and Chapman Partnership and many of its attorneys participate in the firm’s Pro Bono program.
The firm will celebrate 25 years in Miami in March.
“Chapman Partnership plays a vital role in our community, and we are honored for the opportunity to support the great work they are doing to improve the lives of so many deserving individuals and families,” said Scott Kravetz, managing partner of Duane Morris Miami office. “I am also proud of the attorneys and staff in our Miami office for their kindness and generosity and ongoing commitment to give back.”
