Ten-year-old piano prodigy from Miami, Jodi Brielle Brown, led by her mentor, classical pianist Elena Fomicheva, has won countless national and international awards and performed on some of the most prestigious stages around the world, including Carnegie Hall (twice), Lincoln Center in New York, and Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria.
“Jodi is a child prodigy and her skills are a rare gift,” said her piano teacher, Elena Fomicheva, after Jodi’s triumph at the Music International Grand Prix in NYC’s Merkin Hall where she became the first classical pianist from Florida to win the $5,000 Grand Prix title.
Under the tutelage of Fomicheva, most recently Jodi took the Grand Prix of the 2022 Music International Grand Prix in New York; First Prize in the 2022 Manolov International Music Competition in New York; First Prize in the 2022 Royal Sound Keyboard Competition in Montreal, Canada; First Prize in the 2022 International Music Competition Grand Prize Virtuoso in Salzburg, Austria, and First Prize and Jury Discretionary Award Winner of the 2022 University of Miami Frost Young Artists International Piano Competition in Miami.
Same year she has won numerous prizes, including for the Sergei Rachmaninoff International Youth Piano Competition in Houston, TX; International Keyboard Odyssiad Competition and Festival in Fort Collins, CO; World Piano Teachers Association Finland International Piano Competition; Malaysia Virtual International Music Competition, and the Singapore International Music Competition.
Jodi also was awarded First Place at the 2021 Rocky Mountain Piano Competition, First Prize at the 2021 Opus Music Competition – Florida State; First Place at the 2021 Clara Schumann International Competition, and the 2021 North International Music Competition.
She took First Prize and Exceptional Young Talent Special Prize Winner of the 2021 Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition, and was awarded Gold medal at the Progressive Musicians Piano, Violin & Guitar Competition in 2020.
Jodi is like any other elementary school student, otherwise. She is a fifth grader at Archimedean Academy in Miami. She likes to swim, dance and cook. She enjoys singing, and is a member of the Miami Children’s Chorus and the children’s choir at her school and church.
