Early voting for the Aug. 23 primary election continues through Sunday, Aug. 21, at 23 convenient locations throughout Miami-Dade County. The full list of early voting sites, including hours of operation and addresses, can be found on the Election Department’s early voting page at www.miamidade.gov/global/service.page?Mduid_service=ser1511962555914873.

Voters are reminded not to wait until Election Day to cast their ballot. During early voting, registered voters can go to any of the 23 sites throughout the county, while they must go to their assigned precinct on Election Day. Wait times for all 23 sites will be posted on the Elections Department’s website at www.miamidade.gov/elections/home.asp and will be updated throughout the day, so voters can make an informed decision as to when and where is most convenient for them.

Voters are also encouraged to review their customized sample ballot at www.miamidade.gov/elections/voter-information.asp to prepare in advance of heading to the polls.

Additionally, voters can drop off their vote-by-mail ballot at any early voting site without having to go inside the polling place. Voters can drive up to the “Official Ballot Drop-Off,” located outside all 23 early voting locations, and drop their vote-by-mail ballot into the secure ballot intake station.

At the conclusion of the 2020 United States census, the Florida Legislature and Miami-Dade County completed a process called “redistricting,” the redrawing of district lines to adjust for population growth rates. As a result, voters’ representatives, district numbers, or polling places may have changed. In preparation for the Aug. 23 primary election, all voters were mailed a new voter information card. Voters are invited to discard their old card and review their new card carefully to confirm which districts they are assigned to and that all their information is correct. Voters are encouraged to visit www.iamelectionready.org and click on “Redistricting” to learn more.
