Earth Day Clothing & Electronics Drive hosted by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® Alpha Gamma Delta Omega Chapter

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

As Earth Day approaches, we are reminded of the importance of taking proactive
steps toward creating a more sustainable future. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Alpha Gamma Delta Omega Chapter is committed to promoting environmental
stewardship through our Enhance Our Environment Initiative and we are excited to
announce a campaign that aligns with this.

Join us for  a special Earth Day Clothing & Electronics Drive
on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 12 PM to 3 PM at Barry University.
Our organization is partnering with Barry to establish its first Career
Closet. We are collecting professional attire to help stock the closet for students
along with old electronics partnered with Break Room Miami. With these two
donation drives, we will help reduce waste, promote recycling, and support young
adults who are working to advance their careers.

How can you help?

● Professional Attire: We are seeking gently used professional clothing—suits,
shirts, blouses, pants, skirts, and accessories—that can be donated to students
at no cost at Barry University who are entering the workforce. Donations will
stock Barry’s Career Closet.

● Old Electronics: We are collecting old electronics such as cell phones, laptops,
computers, TVs/monitors, and accessories. These items will be donated for the
pop up Smash Room at Barry University sponsored by Break Room Miami.
Donate an item and relieve stress by breaking outdated and unusable
electronics in a safe and responsible setting.

Two Donation Drives – One Location

On Saturday, April 26th: Join us at the Landon Event Center at Barry University to
deliver your donations plus experience the pop up Smash Room. Music, giveaways
and more will be available! Donations are accepted now until April 26th. A special
donation pickup from you/your organization can be arranged.
