Educational Federal Credit Union (EdFed) awarded 15 Hubert O. Sibley 2 + 2 Florida Prepaid Tuition Scholarships to college-bound high school seniors at a special ceremony on May 22.
EdFed’s Board of Directors and President and CEO Michael DiBenedetto hosted the students and their loved ones at EdFed’s headquarters for a special ceremony to help celebrate their achievements.
The Miami-based credit union launched its undergraduate scholarship program in 1995 and has continued to expand its philanthropy with additional scholarships for graduate school, community college, and technical school students.
“EdFed has provided over $4 million in scholarships to help make the educational dreams of students a reality,” said President and CEO Michael DiBenedetto. “We are very proud of our scholarship program and the positive impact it has had on the lives of so many of our young members,” DiBenedetto continued.
Recipient Tiffany Beh shared how the scholarship is already shaping her college experience.
“I think it’s a great help. Not only do I now get to go to university with less burden, but now I feel I can say yes to more opportunities, like attending an academic camp to jumpstart my undergraduate career.” Beh, who plans to study chemical engineering, added, “EdFed truly invests in students, encouraging us to pursue excellence while giving back to our communities.”

Sibley 2 + 2 Florida Prepaid Tuition Scholarship winning recipients were: Matias Palacios Amarilla, Southwest Senior High; Leonna Natricia Anderson, Krop Senior High; Roque Mateo Arduengo, Archimedean Upper Conservatory; Alejandro J.
