May is recognized as Older Americans Month and this year’s theme is “Flip the Script on Aging,” which encourages transforming societal perceptions, discussions, and approaches to aging, emphasizing the opportunities and contributions of older adults.
In light of that, the Miami-Dade County Elder Affairs Advisory Board (EAAB) is hosting the annual Older Adult Resource Fair on Tuesday, May 20. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Milander Center for Arts and Entertainment, 4800 Palm Ave., Hialeah.
The Older Adult Resource Fair aims to provide a platform for showcasing valuable resources and services available to older adults in our community. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with a wide range of exhibitors, including local organizations and service providers dedicated to supporting the well-being and independence of older adults.
