Major League Baseball (MLB) has joined forces with Electric Run and Zumba to bring Miami two events in conjunction with the 2017 MLB All-Star Game presented by MasterCard — Electric Run MLB All-Star 5K, Presented by Nike on Saturday, July 8, and MLB All-Star Zumba on Sunday, July 9. Both events are taking place at Bayfront Park.
Electric Run MLB All-Star 5K, Presented by Nike will start when the sun goes down. Runners will hit the course when the beat drops under the Miami stars, partying their way through five mind-blowing “worlds” that will create an electrifying experience.
Participants will dance, walk or run their way through worlds inspired by sweets, rainbows, a rainforest and under the sea themes. There also will be a dance zone with a deejay to let runners’ senses go wild in Miami’s beautiful Bayfront Park as they smell, hear, touch and feel the electricity of the different worlds.
After crossing the finish line, runners will take part in an epic after party featuring a dance floor and show with a big-name performer.
“We’re bringing the party to Miami for MLB All-Star Week,” said Nick Pearson, event director. “It’ll be an electric experience you won’t want to miss!”
The first ever MLB All-Star Zumba event is a fun, calorie-burning dance fitness party for all ages. Participants can sweat, dance and smile with Zumba creator Beto Perez who will be leading the party. A limited number of dancers will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with Perez by selecting the VIP experience ticket option.
“MLB All-Star Zumba is really for everyone,” said Sophie Weichers, MLB All-Star Zumba event director. “Celebrate MLB All-Star Fitness Weekend with your friends and family at the dance party of the summer!”
