Expanding Accessibility for Our Residents Through Government Collaboration

Juan Fernandez-Barquin

Accessibility for our residents has always been at the heart of my mission, and I am proud to  announce a new partnership that aligns perfectly with this commitment. The Clerk of the Court and  Comptroller is working closely with the Tax Collector’s Office to create a more convenient,  streamlined experience for our residents. Through this collaboration, we are providing space in  various courthouse locations where individuals can efficiently resolve their tax collector  obligations.

This initiative is a testament to what can be accomplished when government agencies join forces  to better serve the public. By breaking down silos and working together, we are enhancing  accessibility and improving the overall experience for our community members. Our goal is to  make essential services more convenient and reduce the burden of navigating multiple offices to  address related matters. As the Tax Collector’s Office prepares to take on the responsibilities of  the Driver’s License Agencies, our partnership will ensure that residents have a seamless, one-stop  solution. Individuals who need to settle their court obligations will also have the opportunity to  reinstate their driving privileges in the same location. This initiative will eliminate unnecessary  barriers, making it easier for residents to regain their mobility and move forward with their lives.

I am committed to continuing these collaborations and finding innovative ways to enhance  accessibility for everyone in our community. Together, we are building a more efficient, resident focused government that truly serves the people.
