FirstBank Florida, a full-service commercial bank based in Miami, hosted its annual Gathering of Friends on Apr. 11 at the The Wharf Miami in honor of its 70th anniversary.
More than 400 of South Florida’s top businesses and community representatives were in attendance at Miami’s hottest new venue to celebrate this enormous milestone.
“Our annual Gathering of Friends allows us to celebrate the success we’ve had throughout the year with those who have made it possible,” said Calixto Garcia-Velez, regional executive and executive vice president of FirstBank Florida. “While it is always nice to celebrate our growth with friends, celebrating our 70th anniversary amongst our most valued clients made it that much more special.”
FirstBank originally opened its doors in 1948, becoming the first Savings and Loan Institution in Puerto Rico.
