Four M-DCPS schools among nation’s Top 100 high schools

U.S. News & World Report’s annual list of the nation’s best schools is out, and Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) solidifies its place of excellence with four of our high schools appearing among the Top 100 Best High Schools in the U.S.

M-DCPS also leads Florida with 17 high schools placing among the Top 100 Best High Schools in Florida. Overall, M-DCPS had 58 traditional and magnet schools ranked on the list.

U.S. News & World Report’s list of the 2025 Best High Schools in America is based on a review of nearly 25,000 traditional public, magnet, and charter high schools in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The list ranks 17,901 schools nationally.

The magazine evaluated all the schools using six criteria, including weighted factors for college readiness, college curriculum breadth, state assessment proficiency and performance, underserved student performance, and graduation rates.

Four M-DCPS schools were recognized as among the best 100 schools in the nation:
No. 73 – Jose Marti Mast 6-12 Academy
No. 74 – Marine Academy of Science and Technology (MAST@FIU)
No. 97– Design and Architecture Senior High School (DASH)
No. 100 – TERRA Environmental Research Institute
