On Wednesday, October 22nd, the From Silence to Strength: Domestic Violence Awareness Summit will bring together survivors, service providers, law enforcement, and community leaders for a day of dialogue, healing, and action. The event will feature a candid, heart-to-heart, “Breaking the Silence” session with Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and media personality Supa Cindy.
The summit will also include interactive breakout sessions on recognizing the signs of abuse, navigating the legal system, and breaking the cycle of violence. Additionally, attendees will learn about and have access to supportive services and resources available 24/7, 365 days a year through the Community Services Department (CSD) and other local service providers.
Through this half-day summit, CSD will provide education, resources, and hope—empowering attendees to recognize abuse, support survivors, and build a future free from violence.
