After leading Florida to a perfect 2-0 week in conference play, two Gators earned SEC Weekly honors.

Alexis Stucky was named both SEC Overall Player of the Week and Setter of the Week, while Bre Kelley earned the title of Co-Defensive Player of the Week.

These are the fourth and fifth honors, respectively, for Stucky this season as she was named Freshman of the Week on Aug. 29 and Overall Player of the Week, as well as Freshman of the Week, on Sept. 19. This is the first weekly accolade of Kelley’s career.

Over the course of the two matches, Stucky put together a stellar performance, leading the team to a combined .329 clip while averaging 13.33 assists per set.

In Friday’s match against Mississippi State, the rookie dished out 36 assists and helped the team to a .310 hitting efficiency. She paired that effort with two digs and two blocks to help Florida earn the sweep.

In the Saturday matchup against the Bulldogs, she registered 44 assists and led the team to a .347 clip en route to the victory. The 44 assists were a three-set best for the freshman setter and she also tallied eight digs and three kills on the night.

Kelley was a force at the net this weekend – averaging 2.67 kills per set, 1.50 blocks per set, 0.83 digs per set and 3.83 points per set to earn her title as SEC Defensive Player of the Week.

Against the Bulldogs on Friday, the sophomore middle blocker recorded a team-high six blocks, including one solo block. She paired that with a nine-kill performance in the victory, while also recording four digs and one service ace.

To round out her weekend, Kelley registered two solo blocks and a block assist, along with seven kills and a .382 clip on Saturday.

The Gators are back in action on Wednesday when the Georgia Bulldogs visit Exactech Arena. First serve is slated for 7 p.m. on SEC Network +.
