The Glioblastoma Research Organization (GBMRO), a nonprofit organization raising awareness and funds for cutting-edge research to find a cure for glioblastoma, is hosting Padel for Brain Cancer Miami, a brain cancer awareness fundraiser featuring the popular, fast-paced racket sport.
The event will take place from 2 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18, at Reserve Padel Miami.
Attendees will witness the intensity as 30 teams (40 players in the men’s division, and 20 players in the women’s division) engage in a competitive bracket tournament. Spectators also will enjoy on-site activations, food and drinks.
Tickets start at $75 for a spectator ticket and $400 for a team ticket (two players). Every ticket purchase directly supports the Glioblastoma Research Organization, making this not just a fun-filled sporting event but a meaningful step toward advancing crucial research.
The winner’s prize box includes a TWOTWO padel racket, wellness services and self-care items.
Earlier this year, GBMRO hosted its inaugural Padel for Brain Cancer Miami fundraiser, followed by Padel for Brain Cancer New York, raising a combined $61,000 for glioblastoma research projects.
“We are excited to bring back this high-energy fundraising event to Miami,” said Amber Barbach, founder of the Glioblastoma Research Organization. “Padel for Brain Cancer is not just about having fun; it’s about making a real impact in the fight against glioblastoma.
We’re committed to raising awareness and funds to support groundbreaking research and advancements in the field.”
Event sponsors include Drink Spade, Earos, Myna Snacks, Koia Shakes, 8Greens, TruBar, Aire Wellness, Sopra Miami, and Forte dei Marmi. To purchase tickets, become a sponsor or learn more about the organization, visit gbmresearch.org.
