Gloria Estefan, the nine-time Grammy Award-winning global superstar and cultural icon, unveils her new album Raíces, a vibrant and deeply personal tribute to the music that shaped her.
Marking her 30th studio album and her first full-length Spanish-language release in 18 years, Raíces is more than just a musical work — it is a celebration of identity, legacy, and love.
Released during a landmark year, Raíces honors Gloria Estefan’s 50 years in music, a journey that has earned her a permanent place in the hearts of millions and helped transform Latin music on the global stage. Over two years in the making, the project was recorded entirely with live instrumentation, showcasing Estefan’s signature passion and musical excellence.
Nearly the entire album was written by her husband, Emilio Estefan, lending the project an intimate, emotional tone that feels like a musical love letter from husband to wife, artist to artist.
“This album is a labor of love,” Gloria Estefan said. “Every note, every lyric is filled with emotion and gratitude for this incredible journey. Thank you for the love and support — you’ve helped make this one of the most meaningful highlights of my life.”
The album’s first single, Raíces, already has topped the charts, holding the No. 1 position for multiple weeks and reaffirming Gloria’s enduring connection with audiences old and new. The second single, La Vecina (No Se Na’), continues to gain traction and is celebrated for its rich instrumentation and nostalgic energy.
The album includes a moving English-language song dedicated to Gloria’s grandson, Sasha, as a touching tribute to her family. This demonstrates once again that her music comes from a place of deep love and connection.
The release of Raíces also coincided with the 40th anniversary of Conga, which in May was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame, cementing its legacy as a musical milestone.
