Health Foundation of South Florida recently announced the election of Bob Dickinson to its board of directors. The board leads the largest philanthropy dedicated to improving health in Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe counties.
Bob Dickinson has held positions with Ford Motor Company, RCA and Carnival Cruise Lines where he was president and CEO, the highest-ranking executive at the world’s largest cruise operator, prior to retiring in 2007. Dickinson is chair emeritus of Camillus House and is a trustee for St. Thomas University.
“Bob knows how to lead organizations in tackling complex issues, and shares the Foundation’s focus on creating communities that are more resilient, sustainable and equitable places to live,” said Steven Marcus, EdD, Health Foundation of South Florida president and CEO. “We’ve worked to make sure our board members have the right skills and backgrounds to be strong stewards in our impactful work.”

The mission of Health Foundation of South Florida is to invest in and be a catalyst for collaborations, policy and systems change that improve the health of South Florida communities, with a focus on vulnerable, low to moderate- income populations. Established in 1993, the Foundation has awarded nearly $125 million to nonprofits providing programs and services in Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe counties.
