Hyundai Tucson Limited prioritizes evolution over revolution for 2025

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

The latest version of Hyundai’s bestselling crossover delivers meaningful improvements where they matter most. After spending some time with the 2025 Tucson Limited AWD, it is clear Hyundai focused on refining an already winning formula.

The carried-over 2.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder delivers 187 horsepower with 178 pound-feet of torque and won’t set any speed records, but it delivers adequate punch for daily driving. The 8-speed automatic transmission shifts with newfound smoothness, though occasional hunting between gears persists during hill climbs. Hyundai’s HTRAC all-wheel-drive system provides sure-footed grip in varying conditions. All together it offers 24 miles per gallon in the city and 30 miles per gallon on the highway.

The Tucson now better absorbs road imperfections while maintaining composure through corners. Steering feel remains accurate for confident maneuvering.

Inside, Hyundai’s commitment to premium materials continues to impress at the $41,440 price point, with leather trimmed seats and a panoramic sunroof. New for 2025 is an upgraded 12.3-inch infotainment display with improved graphics and response times. The customizable digital gauge cluster remains a segment standout.

Passenger space remains generous, with the Tucson offering class-leading rear legroom.

Cargo capacity holds steady at 38.7 cubic feet behind the second row — plenty for family duties. New sound-deadening materials noticeably reduce road and wind noise.

The Limited trim comes loaded with Hyundai’s latest SmartSense suite. Lane keeping is more natural than before, and the adaptive cruise control handles stop-and-go traffic with increased refinement. You also get remote smart parking assist and surround view monitor.

The 2025 Tucson Limited AWD builds upon its predecessor’s strengths with meaningful refinements. It remains a strong choice in the competitive compact crossover segment, offering premium features, practical space, and solid dynamics at an attractive price point.
