ICA Miami to host inaugural Family Fest in Design District
Kids can have fun with bubbles.

The Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami (ICA Miami) will host its inaugural Family Fest on Saturday, Oct. 1, from noon to 3 p.m.

The circus-themed family event will take place at the museum and throughout the Miami Design District, and features food and drinks, artmaking, performances, and creative activations. All proceeds from the event will support ICA Miami’s ongoing educational and community initiatives.

Experience ICA Miami’s creativity with activities including performances, circus characters, Fantasy Theater jugglers, a dazzling aerialist, face painting, a trolley ride loop through the District, and imaginative art project stations for the whole family. There’s even a sensory friendly quiet room.

All families are welcome to explore the District with activations throughout Palm Court, Paradise Plaza, Sweet Bird North, and ICA Miami — and are encouraged to stop by StopC’est Chou for refreshments, State of Kid for fun activities, Spot Barbershop for a $25 kids haircut benefitting ICA Miami, ICA Miami’s Sculpture Garden for adult refreshments and more.

Tickets include access to all activities, activations, performances, trolley rides, snacks and refreshments. Children 2 and under attend for free. Tickets are non-refundable. Cost is $25, individual tickets/$90 for group of four tickets and $200 for pack of 10 tickets. Visit icamiami.org/calendar/family-fest to purchase tickets

ICA Miami’s Family Fest proceeds benefit the museum’s educational and community initiatives — which facilitate key partnerships with local community and governmental organizations, as well as public and private schools, to connect under-resourced youth and adults throughout Miami-Dade County to art, empowerment, and critical thinking. Family Fest is also supported by the Fabrikant Family.

Activities are at ICA Miami, 61 NE 41 St., and throughout the Miami Design District. Parking is available at designated city/museum garages (regular rates apply).

The trolley will run on a loop throughout the district for pickups and dropoffs at Palm Court and Paradise Plaza garages and the corner of NE 41st Street and First Avenue.

All activities and activations are ongoing for duration of event. Visit icamiami.org/calendar/family-fest for list of scheduled performances by jugglers, the aerialist, clowns and Menestrelli Circus.
