ICA Miami to host second annual Family Fest in Miami Design DistrictThe Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami (ICA Miami), 61 NE 41st St., will host its second annual Family Fest on Sunday, Oct. 15, from 1 to 4 p.m.

The animal-themed family event will take place at the museum and throughout the Miami Design District, and will feature art-making, live animal performances, creative activations, tasty treats, and more. All proceeds from the event will support ICA Miami’s ongoing educational and community initiatives.

Family friendly activities, giveaways, and performances include:

Scheduled performances
• “Big cat” aerial performance of amazing acrobatic feats;
• The return of the famous Menestrelli Dog Show;
• Captivating tales of Kittenberger, the museum’s cat-in-residence, and
• Miami Book Fair Presents: Storytelling with Francinelee Hand.

Ongoing activities
• Delightful and intriguing art-making with Miami-based artists;
• PATH (Preserving, Archiving and Teaching Hip Hop) interactive music experience;
• The Plastic Fisherman ocean-inspired activity;
• Photo booth station with fun and creative props;
• Wild animal face painting;
• Animal characters out in the jungles of the district, and
• Scavenger hunt with prizes.

• Swag bags for the first 200 families on the day of the event, and
• Tasty treats in the museum’s beautiful sculpture garden.
