ICA Miami hosted Family Fest, an annual event raising support for youth education. This year’s Family Fest, on Sunday, Sept. 28, explored Florida’s incredible ecosystem and wildlife.

Attending families created art inspired by the Everglades, painted their faces like colorful reef fish, and engaged in interactive storytelling. Between creating bee luminaries with local Miami beeswax, crafting flying bird puppets, and building mini wetland ecosystems, Family Fest provided interactive fun for everyone.

Families enjoyed a full afternoon of hands-on activities, from live animal encounters to artmaking inspired by Florida’s unique ecosystems, including:

Activities & Experiences
• Live animal show encounters with reptiles and other wildlife and lessons on conservation;
• Pollinator Movement Workshop where families explored how bees communicate and learn about the role of native pollinators in our ecosystem, and
