Jackson Health Foundation is celebrating the generosity of the Holtz family as the foundation commemorates the 25th anniversary of the naming of Holtz Children’s Hospital.
In 1983, The Children’s Hospital, the largest in South Florida, opened on the Jackson Memorial Medical Center campus. In 1998, as a result of a generous naming gift from the Fana Holtz Foundation, the hospital was renamed Holtz Children’s Hospital.
Today, Andria, Javier, Matthew, Grace, Nicole, Andrew, Danny, Brandon, Lauren, Aaron and the fourth generation of grandchildren, continue to provide strong support for the Jackson Health Foundation and Holtz Children’s Hospital. The entire Holtz family, led by their matriarch, Fana, remains dedicated to advancing quality pediatric care in Miami-Dade County.
Holtz Children’s is one of the largest children’s hospitals in the Southeast United States and is known worldwide for its team of pediatric specialists experienced in treating children with all types of needs — from routine care to lifesaving procedures. The generosity of the foundation’s donors supports the hospital’s continued medical advancements and philosophy of family-centered care.
“We are profoundly grateful for the generosity and commitment of the entire Holtz family,” said Flavia Llizo, Jackson Health Foundation co-president and chief development officer.
“They helped pave the way for Holtz Children’s to make a profound impact on the lives of so many children and families over the years. Their service to our community is priceless and we are fortunate to have their unwavering support,” she added.
The Holtz Family were honored at this year’s upcoming 24th annual Guardians of the Children Luncheon and Fashion Show benefiting Holtz Children’s Hospital. The event took place on Monday, Nov. 20, at The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne.
